Locations & cross-cutting careers
cross-cutting careers If you're not so much into being a search and rescue pilot you could always just become a normal airline pilot because they have the same career skills and education. Or if you're more into the mountain rescue and want to keep it simple you can become a park ranger and the main responsibility of a park ranger is protecting and supervising designated outdoor areas. Park rangers patrol the grounds and make sure that campers, hikers and other visitors are following the rules--including fire safety regulations--and do not disrupt the natural environment or fellow guests. Another cross-cutting job is being in a firefighter squad. Squads can function in any situation if the equipment is provided. Squads can provide technical rescue, hazmat, water rescue, extrication, truck company operations, RIT, and engine company operations. They usually tend to be the specialized catch all.
